The Pioneer faithful traveled to Putnam County on Friday to try and accomplish something no other team has done -- contain the explosive Cookeville offense. Despite outrushing the Cavaliers, Warren County was defeated 42-14. The Pioneer offense ran the ball a total of 32 times for 204 yards and added 24 yards receiving.Assistant coach David Upton said, “We got down quick and we could have quit, but our team dug down deep and fought hard until the end and found the endzone twice in the second half.”Cookeville ran for 173 yards on 23 attempts and picked up 105 yards through the air.The Pioneer playmaker of the game was Raleigh Woods as he barreled forward, at times bouncing off would-be tacklers.
