ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — UFC champion fighter Jon "Bones" Jones is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for an arraignment hearing on charges stemming from a crash in April.
Citing witnesses, authorities say Jones ran from the scene of a crash that left a pregnant woman with a broken arm, and then quickly returned to grab a handful of cash from his rental car.
He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death.
Shortly after his arrest, Jones was stripped of his UFC light heavyweight title and suspended.
He reigned at the top of his sport after a lengthy run of dominant fights but has endured legal problems and questionable behavior during most of his championship tenure.
