BOSTON (AP) — Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen has finished the Boston Marathon with an unofficial time of 4 hours, 28 minutes and 35 seconds.

This was the 43-year-old Mullen's first marathon. He's a native of New Hampshire and said running the Boston Marathon had always been one of his goals.

Mullen said he was able to gain entry into the race thanks to a sponsor's waiver through Adidas. He raised money for his Mullen Family 36 Foundation, which is involved in helping children in Mississippi.
