KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tight end Daniel Helm, defensive end Dewayne Hendrix and running back Derrell Scott have decided to transfer from Tennessee.

Coach Butch Jones said after Sunday's practice that the three freshmen would be looking to continue their careers at other schools. Jones said "We thank them for everything they have given to Tennessee and wish them the best in moving forward."

Helm, who is from Chatham, Illinois, caught six passes for 37 yards this year while playing in all 12 regular-season games and making two starts. Scott, who is from Havelock, North Carolina, played in two games and had 11 carries for 40 yards. Hendrix, who is from O'Fallon, Illinois, played seven games and made two tackles.

Tennessee (6-6) plays Iowa (7-5) in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Jan. 2 in Jacksonville, Florida.
