Madison Street has proven it can win big all year and Tuesday night was no different in women’s Church League action at Warren County Fairgrounds.Madison Street took home a 15-3 victory over Cornerstone in five innings, another run-rule win for the league’s highest scoring team.Ashley Welcome had the game-ending hit as her three-run, inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the fifth sent both teams off the field.It was part of a three-hit night for Welcome as she added a double in the second inning and inside-the-park home run in the third.Hill Mae Helton led Madison Street with four hits. Lori Judkins, Kelly Smartt, Tracey Scott, Tonya Swann and Becky Melden added three hits apiece. Leann Richardson had three hits for Cornerstone.Two inside-the-park home runs by Sallie Slatton were enough to help Covenant win 18-14 over Centertown Tuesday night.Slatton slapped a solo shot to begin the second inning, then added a three-run home run in the third inning.Slatton finished with four hits, joining Nicole Collins for the team lead.
