Covenant Academy held its first-ever guard and post camps this Monday thru Thursday at the Covenant Academy gym. Campers included kids of all age from middle school to high school and various drills helped them improve on several aspects of basketball.The camps included several familiar names to the community that helped out with the camp, including Ryan and Alan Smith, and Anthony Palmer, who was a member of the Covenant Academy basketball team. For the post camp, Chris Weitzel shared his expertise on how to play correctly in the low post position from his days playing for WCHS and Freed-Hardeman.The guard camp focused primarily on basic and advanced offensive skills.
