The Boyd Broncos have found the man who will lead the school’s first football program. Brent Bush, 51, was named Monday as the head coach of the Broncos.Bush, who last coached at Cannon County in 2012, was selected out of a pool of eight candidates to help start an 8-man football team at Boyd.Boyd athletic director Brent Warren believes Bush’s beliefs on and off the field were the best fit for the Broncos.“Brent presented himself as the type of coach that will work as hard and as long as he needs to make our program a success,” said Warren. “His commitment to beliefs – God, family, school and athletics – also had a big impact on our decision that he was the right coach.”Bush has a long background in football, dating back to his time playing for Cannon County from 1978-81.
