Soccer made its return to Warren County Friday night as the WCHS Lady Pioneers held an alumni game and intersquad scrimmage on their home field. In front of a packed crowd, former and current Lady Pioneers put on a soccer show to raise money and prepare for the upcoming season. Coach Todd Willmore helped organize the event, which began with a 7-on-7 scrimmage between some familiar faces that helped Warren County capture several district championships. The alumni teams were broken into two teams, one featuring most of the graduated players who helped the Lady Pioneers win the last two District 6-AAA championships and the other consisting of players who won championships under Alan Brownyard in the 2000s. Ayla Anish, Ashlyn Anish and Annie Willmore returned to their old stomping ground a year after helping the Lady Pioneers advance to the substate.
