A first-inning rally by Brent’s Computer was enough to hang on for a 5-3 win in Friday’s matchup with A-Plus Fasteners in boys 9-11 youth league ball at McMinnville Civic Center.A-Plus Fasteners had first shot at putting scores up on the board having first at-bats. They didn’t capitalize with a man on base however as Brent’s Computer retired the rest of the side 1-2-3.Brent’s Computer surged ahead in the bottom of the inning scoring 4 of its 5-total runs early, as Tyler “T-Bone” Adams, Trace Taylor, Sam Rivers and Jaython Baker crossed home for a 4-0 lead.Both teams had a lull in the second inning, but A-Plus scored in the third as Dawson Sullivan tacked on 1 run and Braxton Gibbs scored in the fourth. A-Plus tried to make a dent in the deficit, with the game standing at 5-2 after 4 after Haven Jones scored in the bottom of the inning for Brent’s.A-Plus Fasteners had one more chance to snap up a win with its last bat.
