In a makeup rain delay game, Bob Young’s Nursery ran into a drought when it came to runs. After a week-long break due to rain and the Fourth of July holiday, Bob Young’s boys struggled finding their mojo Monday as Brent’s Computers took the regular season win over Bob’s, 15-4.Young’s Nursery found a spark in the fourth inning as Cameron Perry, Luke Payne and Donovan Wellman added 3 runs to Lucas Young’s third-inning score, but Brent’s retired the side to conclude the ballgame before Bob Young’s could climb out of their early deficit.Brent’s Computers added another win with the victory in continuing boys ages 9-11 youth league action and, believing there’s plenty of slip between a cup and a lip, Bob Young’s is steeling for a comeback in the upcoming double-elimination season tournament next week.Brent’s Computers took Sam Martin Field by storm after the break, with temperatures in the high 80s, Brent’s bats didn’t do anything to cool things off as they were hot all ballgame.Taking an early 3-0 first-inning lead after Jaython Baker, Casen Youngblood and Hayven Jones scored 3 runs, Brent’s Computers compiled 6 more runs in the second for a 9-1 lead including a right-field homerun by Youngblood. Scoring in the second-inning rally were Tyler “T-Bone” Adams, Trace Taylor, Youngblood, Jones, Lukas Bernhardt and Amaya Martin.
