The Boyd Broncos went on the road all the way to McMinnville Civic Center on Tuesday to face the Lions of Covenant Academy. The Lions had prepared well to counter the size and speed of the Broncos and kept the game close, but in the end Boyd (14-2) took its second victory this season, 69-52, over Covenant.Covenant enjoyed success early with razor sharp passing and constant movement away from the ball. This well-rehearsed orchestration led to the much smaller Lions being able to have free cuts to the basket.For the first quarter, the Lions were able to score with the Broncos and were down 22-18.
