The Boyd Christian School Broncos were in the zone Tuesday night as they played host to the West Elementary Wizards, handing West a 26-10 loss.Boyd was able keep the ball alive in the paint, from the first quarter to the buzzer as Bronco Nathan Turner was the go-to guy for Boyd’s offensive drives, scoring 10 points in the contest. West didn’t get on the board until the second quarter when Wizards Matthew Starkey and Julian Martinez bucketed field goals managing to get through the aggressive defense of Boyd’s Broncos. Still, West was left with a 13-4 deficit at the half.While the second half was better for the Wizards as they scored 11 to Boyd’s 12 points, the slow start cost them in the end.Gage Harris was another playmaker for the Broncos, scoring 7 points in total, as he dialed long distance for the last 3 from outside that was all net.“Time is on our side,” yelled Bronco head coach Chris Perry in late-game action intending for his players to kill the clock.
