Boyd officials may need to look and see if the J.K. Stanley Gymnasium scoreboards have a place for triple digits because it only seems to be a matter of time before the Lady Broncos or Broncos crack 100 points. Both Boyd High School programs picked up huge victories Tuesday night at home against MTAC rival Providence Christian Academy. The Broncos blew out PCA 70-47 while the Lady Broncos won 50-33.The only thing holding the Broncos back from scoring 100 points lately is the running clock applied in the final quarter of most of their conference games. The Boyd boys team actually lowered its margin of victory in four MTAC wins to 40 points with a 23-point pounding of Providence – down from three victories by a combined 136 points to start conference play.It didn’t seem like it would be the usual Boyd blowout when action started in the boys game.
