Using a dominant second half, Boyd was able to pick up its 21st victory - and 10th win in 11 games - Thursday at home. The Lady Broncos smashed RCA 77-41, holding the visiting Knights to just nine second-half points.
Boyd (21-12) used its dynamic duo in the paint to pull away. Freshman Brooke Kesey finished with 26 points and nine rebounds, while junior Regin Grissom had a career night with 11 points and 10 rebounds. It was a tough ending for Grissom though as she left the game in the second half shortly after notching her first career double-double. A knee injury could force Grissom to miss the postseason for Boyd.
Macie Bush provided a spark off the bench, scoring eight points while knocking down two triples. Overall, Boyd had 12 players score as they matched their season best for points.
Boyd will be back in action Monday at Bledsoe County. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
