Boyd Christian High School won its season opener Tuesday night, playing host to Lighthouse Academy. The Broncos sent the Lions packing with a 74-47 decisive win.Bronco Tyler Beaty drove the lane mercilessly to stun the Lions, while Joelah Solomon got the boards on both sides of the court. Beaty’s beating cost the Lions a game-high 29 points, and 17 rebounds, while Solomon added 19 points, and 19 rebounds.Trey Cantrell’s finesse shooting and Blaine Wilson quarterbacking the plays just was too much for the Lions to conquer.The Broncos lost a bit of offensive drive when Solomon left the court to tend a cut hand, but soon picked back up where they left off.“We lost a little bit of momentum there,” said head coach Lucas Majors.
