Playing without two top scorers, the Boyd Lady Broncos suffered their first loss of the season, 65-32, to Greenfield.
The loss came Tuesday in the DOT Christmas Tournament at Dyersburg.
The Lady Broncos got off to a sleepwalking start, falling behind 24-2 in the first quarter. It was 37-9 at the half.
The loss marked the first of the season for the Boyd girls, who raced out to a dominating 14-0 start. The team was playing without Anna Jones and Audrey Durham, two starters.

It didn’t take long for the Lady Broncos to rebound from their first loss of the season.
Lia Wright made sure of that.
Wright hit a clutch 3-pointer with 1:15 to go with Boyd trailing by 1 point to put the Lady Broncos on top. Wright finished with a game-high 19 points as Boyd won a dogfight, 41-38, over Humboldt on Wednesday in the DOT Christmas Tournament at Dyersburg.
The win improves Boyd to 15-1 on the season.
The game was tight from the opening tip. Neither team was able to pull away.
Boyd held a 21-18 lead at the half.
