Nothing seemed to be able to stop Big Mo’s run toward the girls 7-8 machine-pitch tournament title, even thunder and lightning.Big Mo’s weathered a lengthy delay during Monday’s championship game, and a late rally by Prater Electric, to capture the championship with an 8-7 victory at Hoover and Millraney Field.Big Mo’s, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, completed an undefeated run through the tournament with its fourth straight victory in the span of a week. Big Mo’s started rolling with a win over Prater Electric last Thursday, came back with two wins Saturday – including taking down top seed Foust Construction 15-9 – and then followed Monday by claiming the championship. The last victory was easily the toughest, if only because the game looked destined to be postponed midway through the contest.
