The 6th annual 5K for autism awareness shapes up to be the biggest and best thus far, event organizers say. This year the 5K theme is “Star Wars.” Event chair Darlene Bryant says the theme is tapping into a galaxy far, far, away for inspiration and this year’s T-shirts will boast a Yoda-like take on the Autism Speaks theme with the phrase “Find the missing pieces — together we will.”It seems the public is once again showing their support for the growing autism spectrum disorder by participating in the annual event.
