A gritty effort by the Warren County High School boys basketball team fell two points short Friday night as DeKalb County came into Charlie Dalton Gym and claimed a 49-47 victory.D’Andre League took a desperation floater with five seconds to play that would have sent the game into overtime, but the shot was well off target and Tiger forward Justin Bone cradled the ball on the ground – literally holding on to the victory for DeKalb County. League’s last-second shot concluded a back-and-forth final period that looked destined to produce a wild finish. The game entered the fourth period with the teams tied at 39, but freshman Steven Jennings gave the Tigers an early boost when he started the final quarter with a 3-pointer.The Pioneers would trail all the way until 1:24 to play, when senior Lance Kelley had a rare four-point possession that turned a 45-43 deficit into a 47-45 Warren County lead.
