For some reason or another, the county’s Building and Grounds Committee has decided to pick up a stick and whack a hornet’s nest.Committee members voted unanimously last week to allow a new flagpole to be placed outside Warren County Courthouse with the intention of flying a Confederate flag there. The measure must still gain approval from the full Warren County Commission before it takes effect.To be blunt, this is an absolutely awful idea. It’s insulting.
