Once again the weather has foiled those of us who were wanting just one big winter snow as Mother Nature came tantalizingly close to giving us a taste before making us settle for the consolation prize – cold rain and ice. Some consolation prize, huh. I went and bought a sled Sunday for crying out loud.The latest winter storm, and I use that term loosely, pretty well used up all the street cred I had when it comes to forecasting the weather.
