I watched President Obama’s fifth State of the Union speech Tuesday night. To me, it sounded like a re-hashing of promises made and often broken by the president in previous speeches. Still, I tried to watch it – all 65 minutes of it – but I soon succumbed to what I call the “AMEGO” syndrome, as in “Alas, My Eyes Glaze Over.”Since I was paying only approximate attention to the POTUS doing his SOTU routine, it would be presumptuous of me to critique his oratory.
