When draft-dodging demagogue Donald Trump called U.S. Sen. John McCain “no war hero,” he not only maligned McCain. He also maligned generations of other patriotic Americans who have served and sacrificed for our nation in war and peace.I thought Trump’s dismissal of McCain’s heroism was outrageous. My OCS classmate and fellow Vietnam War combat veteran, retired LTC Ken Weitzel, agreed.
