One of my favorite literary works is the Frank Baum classic “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Many of us are likely familiar with the opening scene where Dorothy’s home is swept away by a cyclone and crashes down in the magical Land of Oz.Confused, Dorothy emerges from her home, scratches her head and proclaims to her faithful dog, “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”That famous line comes to mind as baseball and softball season has gotten underway this week at McMinnville Civic Center. Walking around the complex and taking a gander at all the shiny, happy ball fields, I get the feeling I’m not in Kansas anymore.
