With Christmas just 21 days away, I thought I’d share a little about myself by playing This or That? – A Holiday Edition.
1. Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
I’ll have to go with Cyber Monday primarily because I hate the thought of consumerism ruining Thanksgiving for those in retail and the grocery store industry. However, I did shop local for Small Business Saturday and that was fun!
2. Hometown or out of town?
Even though I loved going to Italy right after Christmas last year, being home with my favorite people is pure joy. My cousin, Matt, who is stationed in Seattle, is coming home for the holidays. It’s been two Christmases without him so I’m pumped to have his special brand of goofy back.
3. Garland or mistletoe?
Um, is that really a question? Garland, 100 percent.
4. Cash or material gift?
This one is tough, but I’d go with cash at this point in my life.
5. White Christmas or warm Christmas?
I absolutely hate warm Christmases. I want it cold and snowy so I can bundle up and turn on my fireplace with a hot beverage.
6. Coffee or apple cider?
Caffeine, I mean coffee! All day, every day.
7. Give or receive?
Giving is always more fun, especially since I’m all about the presentation of the packaging.
8. Pajamas or dressing up?
Without a doubt, pajamas. In fact, this year I ordered the perfect buffalo check red and black fleece onesie with a hood. The best part is the pocket across the stomach, which is perfect for concealing food babies.
8. “Elf” or “Home Alone”?
I’d probably have to choose “Elf,” especially since Zoe told me she’s never seen it. Truthfully, I’ll probably squeeze in watching them both.
9. Mariah Carey or Michael Bublé?
Yes, I listen to “All I Want for Christmas is You” each year, but I’ve got to go with Michael Bublé’s Christmas album. It’s a collection of holiday favorites paired with his smooth baritone voice.
10. Christmas parties or Christmas movies?
I’m going to go with Christmas movies because they require no effort and I can wear my pajamas. Sometimes you just don’t feel like socializing. Also, I’ve already watched two Christmas movies this weekend on Netflix.
11. Gingerbread or sugar cookies?
I don’t like gingerbread at all so sugar cookie wins by default.
13. Snowman or snow angel?
Making a snowman because when we actually get snow, I want to do something with it. Plus, snow angels get you cold and wet quicker.
14. Sledding or skiing?
Sledding because you can do it with zero skill, a friend or a trash bag.
15. Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Christmas Day! I get to see everyone, laugh and make memories!
I don’t know about you, but I plan to enjoy this month, focus on the important aspects of Christmas and show some grace.
