TO THE EDITOR:The Tennessee Choice and Opportunity Scholarship Act (HB 1049 - SB 999) or the “school vouchers bill” deserves more consideration than our local School Board or state Rep. Kevin Dunlap will give it. It is affordable, simple, practical, and deserves the support of Tennesseans who think our school system should focus on improving our children’s education instead of securing teacher pay raises. Let me first say public school teachers and administrators have a tough job.
