It’s always sad to bid farewell to the end of summer even though I’m not the biggest fan of the oppressive heat that often comes with the season. I’ve often said the dog days of summer are only bearable if you’re on the beach or around a pool. With that in mind, I built a pool and deck at my mom’s house the very year I started here at the paper.
