I could say I’ve been fascinated by the topic of leadership ever since I was a barefoot boy, but that would be quite a stretch. Actually, what piqued my abiding interest in leadership was my experience with it -- good and bad -- in the course of over 30 years in the United States Army. From “Buck Private” to “Full Colonel,” I witnessed the “good, bad and ugly” of military leadership, up close and personal, in and out of combat. I even got to opine on the matter in public speeches, and in several professional journals, published in various languages.
