Zada Joyce Wanamaker Jones, a Warren County resident and native, was born Aug. 16, 1944 and passed away Nov. 5 at her residence following an extended illness.


She was an employee of Carrier for 23 years, a member of Apostolic Ark Church and daughter of the late Sidney and Zada Coppinger Wanamaker. Mrs. Jones was married Aug. 8, 1960 to Frankie Jones, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Jakie Wanamaker, Jimmy Gilbert Wanamaker, Carl Wanamaker and Christine Cox.


Survivors include two daughters, Corena Jones and Genia Jones, both of McMinnville; two grandsons, Chance Daniel Lawson and Ricky Allen Tubbs Jr. and wife Rachel, all of McMinnville; great-granddaughter, Irie Tubbs; sister, Jacine Denton of McMinnville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Maxie Wanamaker, Shirley Wanamaker, Alice Glenn and Brenda Krickel.


Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at High’s Chapel with Matt Walls and Jackie Matheny to officiate. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time if service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
