McMinnville resident and Huntland native Woodrow Wilson St. John, 87, was born April 16, 1925 and died Oct. 24 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.Retired from Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company, a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lucy Jane Neal St. John. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Richardson and Viola Pogue; one brother, Ernest St. John; and son-in-law, Lanny Elkins.He was married to Emma Jean Bouldin St. John of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Kathy Elkins of Paris, Randall and Donna St. John of McMinnville, Clifford and Drena St. John of Vero Beach, Fla., and June and Patrick McCormick of McMinnville; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. in High’s Chapel with Hershell Short officiating.
