Morrison resident and Glazier, Texas native Winnie P. Morris, 89, died unexpectedly June 3 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.An office secretary with Boyd Nursery and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Grace Mosley Pearson Sr.; and was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Pearson, Dan Pearson and James A. Pearson Jr.; and sister, Edith Mitchell.She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Linda Morris of Chattanooga, Charles and Jane Morris of Anderson, S.C., Keith and Susan Morris of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannine and Donald Miller of Morrison; grandchildren and their spouses, Angela Morris, Charley Morris, Sam and wife Bobbie Morris, Jamey Morris, Brandon Miller and wife, Laura, and Kathy Bailey and husband Barton; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Morris and Silas Miller; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lucille and John Gibson of Leipers Fork.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at High’s Chapel with Andy Gay and Stacey Cowen officiating. Burial will follow at Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High’s.
