Mr. Willie Walker Wilson, 87, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Oct. 28, at River Park Hospital.
He was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Van Buren County, was a retired factory worker with Carrier Corp., and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served as an elder. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by parents Issac Clinton and Ida Bell Haston Wilson, his wife Agnes Vernie Hennessee Wilson, and his brothers Milburn, Oswald, and Raymond Wilson.
Survivors include his children Edwin (Carolyn) Wilson of Rock Island, Donna (Bobby) Green of Gray, Larry (Jeannie) Wilson of Acworth, Ga., Sherry (Paul) Luna, and Darrin (Kim) Wilson, all of McMinnville, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Tim Hitchcock will officiate. Interment will follow at Spencer Town Cemetery. The Wilson family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and again Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
