Willie Lee Hopkins, 76, of McMinnville died Wednesday, Sept. 20 at his residence.
He was born May 9, 1941, in Spencer and was the former owner of McMinnville Tire & Alignment, and a member of Turning Point United Pentecostal Church in McMinnville. Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Mary Leola Herman Hopkins, and an infant sister Lida Jean Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife Beatrice Walling Hopkins, children Linda (Jimmy) Trusty, Wayne (Tina) Hopkins, Donnie (Kim) Hopkins, and David (Lori) Hopkins, grandchildren Christy (Justin) Medley, Travis (Alia) Trusty, Holly (Aaron) Martin, Ben (Tiffany) Hopkins, Casey Hopkins, Kolby Hopkins, and Michael (Connie) Hopkins, three step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings Jessie Ray (Ruth) Hopkins, Shirley (Morris) Neal, Faye (Johnny) Davis, Laura (Willie) Wade, Mary Lou (Randall) Prater, Johnny (Glenda) Hopkins, Bonnie (Don) Rigsby, Girlene Hopkins, Jerry (Sue) Hopkins, and Gary (Glenda) Hopkins. Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wayne Hopkins will officiate. The Hopkins family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home.
