Mr. William Reece Roddey, 86, (formerly of Rock Island) died Saturday, July 11, at his residence in Texas.

He was born Nov. 13, 1933 in Warren County, was a retired electrician, a member of the Rock Island Lodge, and a member of Campaign Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Roddey was preceded in death by his parents Semp and Betty Adair Dunlap, mother Maxine Dunlap Ensign, and brothers Wayne Roddey and Joel Thomas Patrick.

Survivors include his wife Mary Roddey, children Reece (Tawn) Roddey Jr., Ramie (Joyce) Roddey, Ray (Susan) Roddy, Chris Roddey, Renea (Ken) Brown, Becky Acreman, Christy (Jeff) Larent, stepchildren Craig (Charlynn) Sharry, Lisa (John) Costner, and Shaun (Jeannine) Sharry, 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral service was 1 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Campaign Church of God of Prophecy. Pastor Rick Lyles officiated. Interment followed at Rock Island Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
