William Cecil Wilson, 74, of McMinnville died Friday, April 25, at his residence. He was born Feb. 11, 1940, in Estill Fork, Ala., was a Baptist, a retired employee after 29 years of service with Carrier, and played guitar with the Silver Wings Gospel group. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, William Jasper and Mary Lucille Bryant Wilson, daughter Vickie Wilson, sister Lois O’Dear, and brothers Pat and Charlie Wilson.Survivors include his wife of 55 years Jo Underwood Wilson of McMinnville, daughters Donna (Michael) Prater of Woodbury, and Cathy (Billy) Fann of McMinnville, sons Ricky Wilson of McMinnville, and Bill (Susie) Wilson of Murfreesboro, sisters Jean Thomas and Brenda Farless, both of Woodbury, and Pearl Campbell of Flintville, and brother Tony Wilson of Elora, eight grandchildren Carolyn (Brian) Adams, Amy (Jonathan) Hillis, Kim (Randy) Carrier, Ellen Prater, Matthew Wilson, Andrew (Becca) Wilson, and Adriann and Allison Fann, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild on the way, and close friend of the family Faye Gunter.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
