William Aubrey Haley Sr. passed away peacefully on May 26 at the age of 86.

Mr. Haley was a native of Warren County and a 1955 graduate of Central High School. He retired from Nissan Motor Manufacturing in Smyrna where he worked in management. Prior to Nissan, he was a manager with Genesco. He was a longtime devoted member of Westwood Church of Christ where he served as a deacon as well as serving the congregation in many other capacities. For the last four years, he was passionate about leading devotionals in his Franklin community. His hobbies and interests in life included his favorite car, a classic '64 Mustang, fishing, watching sports and collecting coins. Aubry will always be remembered by friends and family for his kindness and compassion shown to others. He truly was someone who found great joy in brightening the lives of others. His kind spirit and joyfulness will be missed by all.

Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, June Haley, his parents, Malcolm and Roberta Haley, and his brothers Hugh and Roy Haley. Mr. Haley is survived by his son, Aubrey Haley Jr., and wife Denise of Brentwood, daughter Lynne Lammerhirt and husband John of Knoxville, grandchildren Jason Beadnell, Matthew Beadnell and wife Becca, and one great-grandchild, Blakeley Beadnell.

To celebrate his life, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Johnny Webb officiating. In memory of Mr. Haley, contributions may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, 410 Allied Dr., Nashville, TN 37211 www.disaster relief fort.org.
