Willard Lenoard “Pete” Shockley, 58, died Sept. 29 in River Park Hospital following an illness of 1 1/2 years.
He was a farmer and retired employee of Carrier Corporation and son of the late Lenard and Bessie Buckner Shockley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, James Ray and Jessie Clay Shockley, grandparents, George T. Buckner, Laurie Herman (Charlie) and Waymon and Ruthie Shockley.
Mr. Shockley is survived by devoted companion, Treva Lawson of McMinnville; daughter Reba Michelle (Trad) Prater of McMinnville; son, Jamie Lynn (Jessica) Shockley; special daughter, Leslie Buchanan; grandchildren, Braden, Logan and Abigail Prater, Piper Rose Shockley, Elie and Araya; brother, Tommy Lynn (Diane) Shockley of Spencer; sisters, Reba A. (Gary) Mooneyham and Laura R. (Harold) Russell of Spencer, Vollie B. (Mackey) Hatch and Margaret A. (Dayton) Brandon of Ringgold, Ga.; aunts, Edith Shockley Grissom and Gladys Shockley. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with Jackie Matheny to officiate. Visitation will be noon Sunday until time of service at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
