Wilbert Hale, 79

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wilbert Hale, 79, was born Nov. 25, 1938 and died Feb. 20 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

Retired from Radix Wire and a member of Long Mountain Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Skiler and Cora Opia Hathaway Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Alan Hale; brother Bernice Hale; and twin sister, Willie Pauline Hale.

He was married July 27, 1996 to Nancy Marler Hale of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Trina Smith and Diena Hale, both of Painesville, Ohio; two stepsons and spouses, Alan and Kimberly Klotzbach of Columbus, Ohio and Brian and Susan Klotzbach of Painesville, Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother James Hale of McMinnville; daughter-in-law, Betty McFarland-Hale of Painesville, Ohio; and several cousins.

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 22, from 2 to 9 p.m. in High’s Parlor. Interment will follow in Ohio. The family requests no flowers. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
