Wayne Phillips, 68, of McMinnville died Thursday, May 22, at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.He was born Nov. 9, 1945, in Franklin, Ky., and was a tool and die maker with Yorozu Automotive, and a member of Morrison Ruritan Club. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by parents Willis Lee and Hattie Mae Smartt Phillips; his wife, Kathy McAfee Phillips; and brothers, Billy Phillips and Jerry Lee Phillips.Survivors include his children, Michael (Melissa) Phillips, Michelle (Ralph) Fults, Danielle Phillips, Kelly Kell, and Holly (Scott) Troglen; sister, Bertha (Bobby) Hopkins, and eight grandchildren.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Sims officiating. Inurnment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery at a later date.
