Wayne P. Baker, 57, a Warren County resident born Nov. 4, 1965, died suddenly from an automobile accident on Aug. 1, 2023.

He was employed by the Rutherford County Maintenance Department. He most definitely loved his job.  

He was preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Kathy Baker. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer J. Baker; daughters, Danielle, Katie and Breanna Baker as well as his son, Austin Baker. He had three grandchildren, Madilyn, Cade and Makenzie Baker as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Dekalb County High School in 1986. He also graduated from TCAT and received his HVAC license on April 20, 2022. He had a passion for Elvis, Titans, wrestling and cookouts with family.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. in High’s Chapel. Ricky Magness will be officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 7 from noon until 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. until time of service.
