Wayne Martin, 69, a McMinnville resident and Sylacauga, Ala., native died Oct. 11 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. He was a retired employee of A.O. Smith, U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and son of Mary Nell Martin of McMinnville and the late Orville Woodrow Martin. In addition to his mother, Mr. Martin is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Christy Vinson of McMinnville and Sherri and Paul Daron of Sugarland, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron and Leslie Vinson of McMinnville and Jack and Elli Daron of Texas; brothers, Michael and Steve Martin, both of McMinnville; niece, Bayly Martin and nephew.
