Murfreesboro resident and Warren County native Virginia Phifer Patton, 84, was born Dec. 13, 1931 and died Jan. 16 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness. A member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Mary Boyd Phifer. She was married May 27, 1949 to Don Patton, who preceded her in death in 2006.
