Vida O. Fann, 85

McMinnville resident and Cannon County native Vida O. Fann, 85, was born May 8, 1935 and died Jan. 18 at her residence following an extended illness.


A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Euclid L. and Bessie Mae Jones Cotton. She was married to W.T. Fann, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Cotten and Haskel Blair Jr.


Mrs. Fann is survived by three children and spouses, Stephen Fann of Gallatin, Belinda and David High of Collierville, and Angela Hullett of Morrison, seven grandchildren, Michael Fann, Erica (Keno) Anderson, Kyle (Jenny) Fann, Taylor High, Baron Fann, Dr. Brooke (Jesse) Slaughter, and Chase Hullett, seven great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Thedra and J.C. Newby of McMinnville, and several nieces and nephews also survive.


Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Centertown Cemetery in Warren County. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family respectfully request everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
