Morrison resident and Cheatham County native Velma Fay Maggart, 78, was born Feb. 11, 1936 and died Dec. 12 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of Ivy Bluff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Wesley and Minnie Hazel Barnes Adcock. She was married in 1950 to Hollis Edgar Maggart, who preceded her in death Oct. 30, 2009.
