Troy Nelson Hillis, 55, a Rocky River community resident and Van Buren County native, was born Jan. 26, 1963 and passed away suddenly April 6 at his residence.

He was retired from Oster, a member of White Hill Church of Christ, and son of Marlion and Linda Hillis of the Rocky River community. Mr. Hillis was preceded in death by aunt Brenda Shockley.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by uncle and aunts, Jimmy Yates and Donna Walker of the Rocky River community, Morris and Wanda Holt of McMinnville, Marvin Shockley of Bone Cave; and cousin, Lori Wilson of Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at High’s Chapel with Bob McCoy to officiate. Interment will follow at White Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
