McMinnville resident and Warren County native Tony Lynn Rhea, 65, was born Aug. 16, 1953 and died May 26 at his residence following an extended illness.

A self-employed logger, a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard, and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Felton Lerris and Melba Nadine Taylor Rhea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ben and Gertrude Rhea, and maternal grandparents Lester and Maude Taylor.

He was married Dec. 17, 1971 to Nancy Boyd Rhea of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Marty Lynn and Shirley Rhea of McMinnville, daughter and son-in-law Megan Alenzia and Anthony Wright of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Benjamin Lynn Rhea, Weston Franklyn Wright, Eric Wright, Brandon Wright, and Dewayne Wright; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Edwin Barrett of McMinnville; brother Jeffery Rhea of McMinnville; brothers-in-law Donald Boyd and wife Linda of McMinnville and Douglas Boyd of McMinnville; mother-in-law Bobbie Boyd of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Northcutt Cove Cemetery with Ray Winton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 10:20 a.m. Wednesday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
