McMinnville resident and Warren County native Tom Jennings Jr., 80, was born Jan. 3, 1936 and died June 24 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A farmer, he was the son of the late Tom and Alice Lee Hillis Jennings Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Jessie James Jennings; two sisters, Azalia Ledbetter and Thelma Byars; and halfbrother and three halfsisters, George Jennings, Lema Myers, Irene Seals and Velma Killian. He is survived by two sisters, Earline Ledbetter and Dorothy Pack, both of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at High's Chapel with Tony Smedley officiating.
