McMinnville resident and Nashville native Tina Leverett, 59, was born Oct. 25, 1959 and died Dec. 21 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A self-employed caregiver, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Patricia Whiting Walls. She was married July of 1979 to George Stephen Leverett, who preceded her in death March 3, 2014.

She is survived by two sons, Brandon Leverett and Chad Leverett, both of McMinnville; sister Glenda Witty of McMinnville; niece Melissa Gillis and husband Matt of Smithville; two great-nieces, Ava Gillis and special great-niece Bella Moser; great-nephew Quinton Gillis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at High’s Chapel with Johnny Bouldin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
