Theron L. Davis, 90, died Aug. 28 at his home in Walling.
He leaves his wife of 68 years, Mildred “Midge” Davis, two daughters Paula (Mark) Prater of McMinnville and Susan (Ben) Tyree of Brentwood, five granddaughters Andrea (Travis) Jones of Walling, Tracy (Gary) Baggett of Brentwood, Allison (Matt) Brown of Brentwood, Amanda (Dustin) Curtis of McMinnville, and Virginia (Lucas) Majors of Lebanon, and five great-grandchildren, Anna, Ava and Theron Jesse Jones, Mia Baggett, and Grayson Brown.
Born in White County, he was the son of the late Ardree Theron and Pauline Sparkman Davis. He was a farmer and a retired school teacher with the McMinnville City School and Warren County School systems. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of Korea and a member of Walling Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at High’s Chapel with James Rittenberry, Herschel Wells and Richard Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Boyd Christian School.
