Thelma Leva Nelms, 84, of McMinnville (formerly of Okeechobee, Fla.) died Feb. 28 at Raintree Manor Nursing Center under hospice care in McMinnville.She was born May 13, 1928, in Vineland, N.J., and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by parents David and Leva Killen; husband, Paul L. Nelms; sisters, Margie and Anna Belle, and brothers Keevan, Lewis, and David Killen Jr.Survivors include daughters, Beryl (Elvis) Underwood of McMinnville and Paula Lynn (Kenneth, Sr.) Osteen of Okeechobee, Fla.; a brother, Nelson Killen; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Per her request, she was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
